Learn how my ‘Discovery Days’ literally helped make 2018 my best year yet, and how they could help make 2019 yours…

I introduced ‘Discovery Days’ to my life, shortly after leaving the Corporate World prior to starting up a business of my own. My Discovery Days, were days that I would take myself away from it all, go off somewhere alone, and mostly somewhere new each time, in order to literally Discover ME.

It’s amazing how little I knew about myself, and how much I had to discover, and these little trips out were entirely responsible for turning my life around, and helping me CREATE A LIFE I LOVE!

I would schedule a ‘Discovery Day’ weekly (and I still do), and take all that I could with me, to allow me to decide what it was, I wanted to do, on that particular day. Nothing was predetermined or planned, I would literally see how I felt on that day, and what it was I felt like doing once I had arrived.

I would pack a little bag of pens, pencils, a reading book, a journal, some blank pieces of paper, decide where I wanted to go and just see what happened. Sometimes I would just sit, relax and think and do nothing more than that, other times (mostly this), I would get really busy creating, AND THE RESULT… I wrote a book, I spent time drawing again (something I loved to do as a young girl), I journalled to really get to know me and MY thoughts, I learned to love me and to spend time with me, and I created the concept of my business Inspiring Ladies through freeing up this time and head-space. These Discovery Days really did become the most valuable appointment in my diary.

Is it time for you to make an appointment with yourself? When did you last spend time alone? It’s like everything, you can’t just do it once and expect miracles. Make a commitment to do this every single week, whether for a few hours, or a whole day at a time, and just see what MAGIC you can discover about yourself.

I would love to hear your comments on this post, and on any Discovery Days you now take, I know you’re going to uncover some real gems!

Sending you so much love,

Johanne xx
